How Fold works.
Every coin launched here is a Folding@home team. Its creator fee rents GPUs on Nosana that fold proteins for that team, and its score is public on the Folding@home board.
The loop
- Launch. Your coin is created on pump.fun with its own Fold account as the creator. Creator fees from the curve and from PumpSwap after migration land there.
- Split. Anyone can call
collect: 90 / 5 / 5 goes to GPU time / the dev / Fold. The GPU part stays inside the coin's account as its GPU budget. - Team. When the budget first reaches 0.004 SOL, Fold's attestor creates the coin's Folding@home team (its homepage is the coin's page here) and writes the team number on chain once. A team number can never move to another coin.
- Slot. When the budget covers one 2-hour slot on a whitelisted Nosana market, anyone can buy the NOS for it on the reference Orca pool and list the job. The job file is public and runs Folding@home for this team only.
- Work. Nosana holds the deposit in escrow, pays the GPU node for time worked and refunds the rest to the same coin. Work units turn into points on the coin's team.
- Race. The board places every Fold team inside the real monthly table, next to university, company and hardware-forum teams.

Who can move money
- Nobody takes GPU money. SOL leaves a coin for GPUs only into the reference pool (for NOS, output checked against a median price) or as Nosana job rent that comes back to the coin. NOS leaves only into a Nosana job or, for a dead coin, to the Fold House team.
- The dev claims the dev share. Nothing else.
- The attestor binds a coin's team number once and proposes job files. A new job file waits 3 days; the coin's dev can veto it, and the guardian can revoke the attestor instantly.
- The guardian can disable a GPU market or revoke the attestor. It never moves money.
- The admin whitelists GPU markets (price cap, 24 h delay), changes future parameters (24 h delay, coins keep their copy) and can pause new launches and donations. It never touches a coin's GPU budget, NOS, dev share or team.
- The keeper runs the permissionless steps on a timer. Anyone can run them instead.
Honest limits
- A job file is public, so the team's passkey is public. Someone can dump work under the coin's user name and break its quick-return bonus; the fix is a new passkey through a job-file change.
- Nosana supply is thin. A job may wait in the queue; after 24 h it is delisted with the deposit back (Nosana keeps its 10% network fee).
- A GPU node may take a slot and not fold. It is paid for time only, and the coin's page flags it when points per GPU-hour fall below half of the expected band.
- Folding@home may rename or delete a team. The number never rebinds; the coin shows "team lost".
- A coin quiet for 90 days with less than one slot left sends its dust to the Fold House team, never to a person.
